I was asked to restore this wedding photo which had faded over 30 years. The first step, color correction, was fairly straightforward, but look closer and you will see some mysterious red spots all over the image. It wasn’t on the surface of the print, so its not something that could be cleaned with a cloth. It appears to have been in the original processing of the print. My best guess is that the spots were left when either the negative or print was not rinsed thoroughly during processing. None the less, the spots were removed with some careful manipulation in Photoshop.
